Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum OINP score under the new Workforce Priority Stream?

Job offer applicants can score a maximum of 130 points across employment, education, language and regionalization. Self-employed physicians can score up to 115 points because the hourly wage factor does not apply.

Does this OINP calculator tell me if I am eligible for a nomination?

No. It estimates your EOI score from the published scoring factors. Eligibility is a separate determination based on stream requirements, employer qualifications, work experience thresholds, language minimums and other criteria.

Is the OINP EOI score the same as the Express Entry CRS score?

No. The OINP EOI score ranks your profile inside Ontario's provincial nomination system, while CRS ranks you federally in Express Entry. They use different factors and maximums and are not interchangeable.

How do I find the NOC code used in this calculator?

Search your job title and main duties in the Government of Canada NOC directory to find your five-digit NOC 2021 code. The second digit is your TEER category and the first digit is your broad occupational category.
